The gang is mostly here to talk #TFClive and their successive defeats, #CanMNT’s Gold Cup adventure beginning with a draw to Guadeloupe, the sacking of Bob Bradley, looking ahead to the remainder of the Gold Cup, TFC at home to Real Salt Lake and the usual malarkey. In this episode, Mark tries his best again, Duncan is pro-JdV and Tony discovers a thing about “Brians” (it tracks, I promise).

Current events are a sight to see…
You say you only see an ink blot on a canvas. Look closer, you will be surprised on what you can discover.
Toronto against Salt Lake city is coming soon.
Of course everyone knows the kind of people that Utah and that city is known for…
Ninjas
As we all know this city hosted the filming of the classic cinematic masterpiece, Revenge of the ninja. From the highly regarded Cannon producers.
It goes without saying that the acclaimed Cannon Group studios gave us many films that stand the test of time. Bloodsport, Masters of the Universe, Invasion USA and many others including a few ninja movies.
I suggest you go to your local video rental store and tell the management that you are a discriminating viewer and looking to watch films of the highest quality possible. Only a visual delight will do, Cannon will deliver! Grab some popcorn and make it a Blockbuster night.
Speaking of the movie, Revenge of the Ninja… It’s true, Salt Lake city hosted the silver mask ninja who battled many foes. Even the Salt Lake city mafia were no match for that ninja.
The mob were all eliminated one by one. Those fools think they could take out a ninja! How dare they break the contract in the ninja drug business. A deal is a deal! You dishonour the ninja code! The audacity that their impotent guns, meek bodies, and dimwitted brains could face off against a real ninja.
And we all know the line from reality and fiction can be paper thin. Who knows how much of the real truth was left out of the movie? Everyone remembers the tales. They can’t be taken lightly.
Oh no! With a flash of smoke they shall arrive and do nefarious deeds at BMO field. Who knows what dastardly tricks they have planned.
Now you might be asking yourself, “If those from Real Salt Lake have trained in the ninja arts, then how will Toronto hope to defeat them? And with all the injured teammates now. It will be a massacre!”
Well, obviously you have forgotten the rich tapestry of local history….
As you know the academy will be called upon in this difficult task. While they might be naive, there heart is in the right place.
Must I remind you again? Four Police Academy movies were filmed in the fair city of Toronto. While it is not a Cannon movie it still has merit. A Warner Brothers film, which was involved in other classics such as National Lampoons Vacation, Gremlins and Caddyshack. I suggest you pick up a copy on VHS or Betamax today!
The fine people of the Police Academy are no ordinary people. They have many talents that rival that of even the ninjas. Fiction and facts, sometimes they mirror each other.
They trained here in Canada! It’s part of our shared cultural heritage. I must say the educational system in this country is woefully inadequate if you have not learned of this by now!
If your memory is lacking, you might ask, “But it’s one thing to deal with the riot at Kensington market Toronto in Police Academy 1, it’s another dealing with the nefarious ninjas.”
If you have watched Police Academy 4, the answers are there for all to see. In fact the Police academy already faced a gang of ninjas. Ninja tricks were no match for the hilarious hijinks and silly shenanigans of the academy. And it looks like the climatic battle was in Toronto’s harbourfront. You never know who you will see on the shores of Lake Ontario!
And of course who was recently involved in Toronto’s youth academy? It was Terry Dunfield, he helped guide these young dreamers and misfits. As Toronto’s new head coach, he will send these citizens to patrol the field. I expect wacky events and zany moments to take place yet again as was filmed here many years ago. They won’t dishonour the uniform. Their job is to serve and protect BMO field, with integrity, knowledge, courage and some amusing antics right here in beautiful Ontario!
This is Ontario, take a closer look. It’s yours to discover.
