  1. I still think you guys should ask Tim Leiweke to guest on the podcast. He might buy you guys a round…com’on.

Vanney seems to have quieted the mob, as the gang’s tone was less strident overall. However, all it takes is a loss this weekend.

    • well we’re not going to be negative just for the sake of it. There’s been some good things you can take from the last 3 games tactically, keeping the goals against down and the chances against. though the late chances are still happening, both last two games we’ve got lucky to not conceded after we went into turtle mode.
The offence is still very reliant on the stars rather than anything the team does, but I guess if you’ve got the stars, that’s a luxury you can use so why not.
I’m not in any way convinced by vanney, but if he can do things well enough, I’m willing to let my thoughts on him develop.

      • TFC would be a step up for Bob Bradley from Stabeak. The key here is TFC will need a strong personality with sound business acumen. All to counter whoever is appointed the MLSE CEO.

I am watching to see who ends up TFC president, if it happens at all. It will signal the value MLSE puts on the team.

        • Yeah, if the replaxcement isn’t ‘a soccer guy’ like leiweke was and Bezbatchenko’s the top guy in TFC who reports to the board, that’d be a) a bad sign for how seriously they take it, and b) a bit worrying given his lack of experience. he’s supposed to be the cap wonk, mls expert to help out the proper soccer brains, not the actual brains making the decisions.
