In part two of this very special episode, TFC President Bill Manning is subjected to more questions regarding MLS and the CPL. In this episode, Tony gets a story about a mascot on a motorcycle, Kristin’s poor table suffers another spill, Mark indirectly gets some dirt on Carlos Valderrama, Duncan talks about pizza, and Bill tells of how Toronto FC caused a Juventus coach to rage.
Kristin’s not here so you don’t need to give us 5-stars on iTunes!

Not just players, but coaches, officials, administrators and soccer culture. Things that MLS doesn’t do because of how American friendly it is.

In terms of fostering the development of Canadian talent in all areas?

CPL PL IS A JOKE..IT WONT LAST..ITS DOOMED TO FAIL…WHAT MLS BADLY NEEDS BACK IS A RESERVE LEAGUE FOR PLAYERS NOT STARTING REGULAR WITH THEIR TEAM.

MR MANNING YOU WANT PPL AT TFC II GAMES…SIMPLY…PL;AY THE GAMES AT BMO BEFORE THE FIRST TEAM GAMES…EASY
April 7, 2017
You mean have them play AFTER a Tfc game. Not before.
Why would you want out first team playing on a pitch that was just chewed up by the reserve team

This podcast is very hard to listen to. Some of the conversations coming from the VM crew is very Canadian Soccer fanboy – very short sighted.
However, you managed to get lots of good information from Manning – so that was a positive point.

Sorry – this post was mine, but I forgot to attach my handle to it

Exactly how were we short-sighted? Anything we missed or asked in particular?
Genuinely curious.

Really enjoyed the interview / conversation guys, and thanks to Bill Manning for being as frank with his opinions as I think a team president could be. Engaging and entertaining stuff. Not everyone will like what he had to say, but it’s nice to hear some of it without the big PR team behind it. I like that you guys were able to ask anything you wanted.
Anyway, cheers and hope to hear more similar things on the podcast in the future if you can!

Thank you sir! Yeah we were shocked (but delighted) to find out that he basically went rogue and did this on his own. Also really appreciated his candid nature and the conversation – yeah we asked if their were restrictions and he said no – made our job easier! 🙂
Don’t know if this was a one off, but we won’t say no to further opportunities. Glad you enjoyed.

Enjoyed the podcast, but I don’t think you were the first to Tweet about Ronnie Obrien.
