episode 175 – 17/02/28 #AlbertRucksack

Mark’s on a boat motherfucker (well he’s on his way to a boat, almost the same thing) so once again it’s a 75% strength podcast for you, reviewing Bill’s big breakfast, previewing the season for TFC and the league as a whole, and looking ahead to the season opener in sexy Sandy, Utah.

In this episode, Kristin lets her Albanian show, Duncan retains his Northerner card privileges with some clutch Oldham knowledge while Tony gets excited for the return of Luis Silva.

This has nothing to do with the podcast, but if you haven’t already read it, enjoy ‘Kurt’s excellent adventure into politics writing’.

  1. 3 things kept the MLS Cup out if Toronto last December. First a decided inability from the Reds to kick the ball into the opposing net, even though the net was gaping. Vanney’s failure to understand that Ricketts is his friend and can score. Finally, Alan Kelly’s refusal to actually call fouls, instead he called this politically balanced game where the hacking Sounders earned more free kicks (22 to 19), despite raining studs up hell on TFC shins.

Hopefully some of these issues can be fixed and the Cup will be paraded down University and up Bay at season’s end.
